Tree safety work is being carried out at Church Fen in Brundall after a recent survey identified four trees in need of remedial work to ensure the ongoing safety of visitors. The latest works are due to take place on Thursday and Friday, during which time the boardwalk will stay closed and access to the river will be restricted. Visitors can still access the river via an eastern dirt path leading from the railway line down to the River Yare. Church Fen is a seven-acre reserve featuring wet woodland, pathways, river floodplain and free public boat moorings, which are heavily used in the summer. It is still unclear when the western boardwalk will fully reopen to the public.
