Winning Commonwealth Games gold was only part one of a big night in Glasgow for the boisterous Australian 3x3 women's team. The women won gold despite losing Emma Clarke for their semi-final earlier in the day and then the final. Whittle top-scored with 15 as Australia dominated the final to cap a strong tournament for the 3x3 teams. Luke Pople, who also won gold in Birmingham, said their loss to England at the start of the Games tournament stung them into action. England joined Australia as the only 3x3 gold medallists in Glasgow, beating Scotland 18-10 to also claim the women's wheelchair final after the host nation denied the Australians in their semi-final.
