The City of Bayswater has emerged as one of Western Australia’s fastest-growing destinations for small businesses, with almost 800 new businesses established across the local government area over the past five years.
New figures from the Small Business Development Corporation show more than 30,000 new sole traders and small businesses were established across WA between 2020 and 2025, and place Bayswater among the State’s top 10 local government areas for small business growth.
The milestone comes as major infrastructure projects, including the completion of Metronet stations at Bayswater, Morley and Noranda and the ongoing redevelopment of Morley Galleria Shopping Centre, help reshape the city’s commercial landscape.
