Murdoch University is expanding its fight against feral fish, with researchers now targeting three City of Wanneroo lakes. Credit: SuppliedStatistics reported by PerthNow in June revealed the Harry Butler Institute’s electrofishing program had also delivered significant results elsewhere across Perth. In the City of Joondalup, electrofishing removed 242 carp from Lake Joondalup over six months, with the fish weighing a combined 767kg. Across lakes in the City of Stirling, researchers removed 841 carp and 319 goldfish with a combined weight of 1368kg.
