WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Education is launching an investigation into the Minnesota Department of Education.
The probe is ‘to ensure compliance with the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA) after a complaint was received on behalf of parents regarding the use of “transgender dolls” in schools.”
According to the Department, Minnesota parents expressed their concerns that rights were violated as they ‘were not notified or given the opportunity’ to opt their children out of an activity involving ‘trangender dolls’ in the classroom.
ED will enforce the law to its fullest extent, putting parents and families firmly in the driver’s seat of their child’s education.”
The dolls, which will be available for educators to use in classrooms this fall, were developed via a taxpayer-funded University of Minnesota program.
