New financing highlights EIB’s prominent role advancing Poland’s energy transition, contributing to Europe’s climate goals and economic competitiveness. The European Investment Bank (EIB) has signed today new financing worth over €260 million (PLN 1.12 billion) to power utility TAURON for the construction of what will become Poland’s second-largest onshore wind farm. Developed by Poland’s second-largest energy group TAURON, it relies mainly on European sub-contractors. It will contribute to the company’s energy transition goals, support employment and regional development, as well as increasing the share of renewables in Poland’s energy mix. “The EIB financing offers significant support for the TAURON Group’s energy transition, confirming the trust financial institutions put in our strategic investment projects.
