A major fire broke out at a building in Islamabad’s I-8 Markaz on Wednesday, as thick smoke can be seen across the area and creating difficulties for people nearby. The blaze started around 5:15–5:30 PM from the corner area of a restaurant. Residents reported that smoke spread throughout the commercial centre, affecting visibility and making breathing difficult in some parts of the area. The Islamabad District Administration confirmed that firefighting operations are underway, with multiple fire vehicles deployed at the site. Citizens are advised to avoid I-8 Markaz routes and give way to emergency vehicles.
