According to the 2011 census, India’s sex ratio is 943 females per 1,000 males, whereas the child sex ratio is 919 girls per 1,000 boys. NFHS-5 (2019-21) also recorded the sex ratio of 1,020 females per 1000 males and the child sex ratio of 929 girls per 1,000 boys.
