The Department of Community Development under the Food Security Pack has commenced the verification and validation of beneficiaries to be enrolled for another three-year programme where they will receive farming inputs. Community Development Officers in Kaoma are on the ground to conduct the exercise, following the receipt of inputs that are due for distribution. Leading the team, Community Development Officer, Mwanida Mukosayi, disclosed in an interview with the media that Kaoma district has a total of 2,044 beneficiaries who are classified as vulnerable but viable. Mrs Mukosayi revealed that the district has since received inputs under both wetlands and rain-fed packages for the beneficiaries. Food Security Pack (FSP) is a social protection programme run by the government through the Department of Community Development under the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services.
