Steven C. “Steve” Patton, 66, of the Marshall community, passed away unexpectedly as the result of a farm accident Sunday, July 26, 2026.
Steve was born Dec. 19, 1959, in Wilmington, the son of the late Frank R. “Bud” and Eileen M. (Shaffer) Patton.
He is also survived by two daughters, Autumn (Joseph Young) Patton of Ewing, Ky. and Kayleesue (Riley) Laber of Marshall; five grandchildren, Samantha Pecco, Craig Pecco, D’Lelah Laber, Patton Laber and Denver Laber; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Ellen Patton, Jeffrey and Shelley Patton: three sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carol and Bruce Seger, Donna and Lonnie Kosch, Diane and Dennis O’Cull; several nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and a host of friends.
Steve growing up on the farm his whole childhood was encourage by his dad, Bud to go try working off the farm.
He continued the legacy of his father’s cattle business, Patton Seldom Rest Farm, where he was a dedicated Limousin breeder.
