Burning restrictions are changing for northeastern Minnesota including the Superior National Forest. While Koochiching county, along with George Washington State Forest and Scenic State Park, have had their burning restrictions removed completely. All burning, including campfires and fireworks were prohibited under Class IV burning restrictions set on July 12. The DNR and the Forest Service will continue to monitor conditions and will adjust county-specific burning restrictions as necessary. See the full burning restrictions map here.
