SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council has announced open selection trials to pick the Union Territory’s Junior Boys Football Team for the Dr B C Roy Trophy 2026-27 National Football Championship, organised under the aegis of the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The division-level trials will be held on July 31 and August 1 at the Mini Stadium Synthetic Turf, Parade Ground, Jammu, for players from the Jammu division, and at the Synthetic Turf Football Stadium, TRC, Srinagar, for players from the Kashmir division. Shortlisted players from both divisions will compete in the final Union Territory-level trials on August 3 and 4 at the TRC Football Stadium in Srinagar, where the final pool for the coaching camp will be selected. According to the Sports Council, players born between January 1, 2011, and December 31, 2012, are eligible to participate. Participants have been asked to report in full playing kit, including jersey, shorts, stockings, shin guards and football boots.
