Drew Pinney, launched the attack in Christ's Piece, Cambridge, on May 23 this year. The two had been in the park as part of a larger group when Pinney asked the victim for a beer or a cigarette. The victim refused and turned to talk to someone else, at which Pinney stood up and kicked him in the face. He suffered injuries including a bleed on the brain and eight fractures across his face. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison at Peterborough Crown Court on Monday (July 27).
