Apple began selling the four new iPhone 17 models on September 19, 2025. The iPhone 17e, which replaced last year’s iPhone 16e, came to market on March 11, 2026. CIRP compared this period to the same nine-month period ending in June for each of the two previous years, so nine months ending in June 2025 and June 2024. In this nine-month period, the four flagship iPhone 17 models accounted for an unprecedented 79% of sales. In the previous two nine-month periods ending June 2025 and June 2024, the then-similar iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 models had 70% and 67% of total sales.
