In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:Patrick McMurray, age 46 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of attempting to elude, the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Brad Kirby, age 45 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of 3rd degree burglary. David Canipe, age 64 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of cruelty to animals. Dimples Kanipe, age 57 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of cruelty to animals. Currently, there are a total of 104 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
