AdvertisementLOCAL Minister and County Limerick TD Niall Collins has confirmed that Limerick is to receive nine new probationer Gardaí from the recent graduating cohort at the Templemore Garda College. This follows the recent attestation of 206 new Gardaí graduating from the college. Neighbouring counties will also see new recruits, including one in Clare, seven in Tipperary, four in Kerry, and two in Cork. Minister Collins said “we have seen a surge of new Gardaí into Limerick and the increased Garda presence and resources in our county is hugely welcome”.
