BREAKING: New jobs hope for Askeaton as Wyeth site sold

AdvertisementNEW JOBS hopes for Askeaton were raised today (Wednesday July 29) with the announcement that Nestlé has reached an agreement to sell its former Wyeth Nutritionals manufacturing site.
The site was sold in Askeaton, County Limerick, to Illinois-based company Pfanstiehl, Inc, a global leader in developing, manufacturing, and supplying the life science and pharma industry, for an undisclosed sum.

“Nestlé worked actively to identify a new owner for the site that could sustain its long-standing manufacturing heritage.
“As part of its legacy in Askeaton, Nestlé has made a number of community contributions, including funding an astro turf pitch for the local GAA club, roof repairs for Askeaton Community Hall, and a sensory playground for Scoil Naomh Mhuire Eas Geitine.”
