Hopes to keep its doors open through NovemberThe Gananoque Soup Kitchen is taking a creative approach to fundraising this weekend, as it works toward keeping its doors open through the end of November. One of the main fundraising locations will be outside West Side Moroni’s, where the soup kitchen operates as part of the Charlie Donevan Legacy Project. Organizers have set a fundraising goal of $12,000, saying the money is needed to help keep the soup kitchen operating through Nov. 30. Every dollar raised will go directly to supporting the Gananoque Soup Kitchen. The soup kitchen was established by Mary Donevan, daughter of the late Charlie Donevan.
