Alec Brown put a timescale of 12 to 18 months on the potential re-opening of the Warrenby waste site to the general public. Warrenby, located on Tod Point Road on the outskirts of Redcar, is currently restricted to operating as an internal transfer station taking council waste, rather than as an active tip for residents. Cllr Brown has suggested re-opening Warrenby to residents would help with Redcar and Cleveland’s fly-tipping problem. Alec Brown, leader of Redcar and Cleveland Council.
