Film crews descended on the city centre for a second time in the same week, starting on Saturday evening and continuing into the early hours of Sunday. A huge Christmas tree, cameras, crews, and lighting could be seen outside Boots on St Peter's Street. At the time, users took to Facebook to express their excitement about the recent filming in St Albans. Just days earlier, a film set was created at Market Place in and around Chesca clothes shop, which was renamed Noble & Spark. The year prior, Tesco filmed its Christmas advert in Market Place, featuring The Boot as The Gingerbread Arms, complete with fake snow and gingerbread boarding.
