President Donald Trump’s administration announced Wednesday that it is now investigating the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) over claims that transgender dolls are being used in schools. MyGender Dolls is a project from the Eli Coleman Institute for Sexual and Gender Health at the University of Minnesota. The federal Education Department claims the dolls “undermines parents’ authority over their children’s safety and well-being,” with Secretary of Education Linda McMahon blaming Walz for “(funneling) taxpayer dollars to perverted ideologies that can harm children.” It was not developed or funded by the Minnesota Department of Education and is not being implemented in Minnesota schools under the Walz Administration.
