Tony Iommi isn’t slowing down after Black Sabbath’s emotional farewell. A year after Sabbath’s star-studded Back to the Beginning sendoff in Birmingham and the death of frontman Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary guitarist has announced his new solo album, From the Dark, due Oct. 23 via BMG. From the Dark pairs Iommi and Lande with bassist Becky Baldwin and drummer Karl Brazil, while longtime collaborator Mike Exeter co-produced the project with the guitarist. Iommi was awarded an MBE in June in recognition of his lifelong contributions to music. His last solo album was 2005’s Fused.
