Independent town council group Devizes Guardians met with leadership from Wiltshire Council on Tuesday, July 28, after gathering feedback on the proposed Household Recycling Centre booking system pilot. Earlier in July, the LDRS reported that the pilot was set to begin in mid-September, with booking available from September 8. A spokesperson for Devizes Guardians said the meeting provided an important opportunity to present a comprehensive delegation pack, bringing together the evidence gathered through community engagement. Cllr Jonathan Hunter, Leader of Devizes Guardians, said: “We were grateful to Cllr Thorn for taking the time to meet with us and to listen carefully to the evidence we presented. “We hope the information we presented will assist Wiltshire Council as it carefully considers the way forward, and places the Devizes community at the heart of the decision.”
