teleSUR English
On Wednesday, former President Cristina Fernandez filed a complaint against the Argentine state before the United Nations Human Rights Committee (OHCHR), alleging violations of due process in the trial related to the “Vialidad” case.
“The banning of a political leader never ends up affecting only that leader.
In reality, it constitutes a violation of the political rights of every Argentine man and woman.
Fernandez is requesting that the OHCHR examine the violations of her fundamental rights and the actions of the judges who participated in her trial.
She concluded her letter by calling on her supporters to defend democracy, judicial independence and human rights in Argentina.
