British beef producer Warrendale Wagyu has won a prestigious food award for one of its products. The company, which is based near Pocklington, has been awarded a three-star Great Taste award for its brisket joint. Run by the Guild of Fine Food, Great Taste is the world’s largest accreditation scheme and a three-star award is the highest accolade a product can win. Tom Richardson, managing director at Warrendale Wagyu, said: “We are thrilled to have won this award that reinforces our goal to produce Britain’s best tasting beef. Warrendale Wagyu works with some of the UK’s finest steak restaurants as well as supplying Aldi and Waitrose with wagyu for their shelves.
