Toban James Chapman, 77, Columbia City, died Tuesday, July 28, 2026, in Ossian. He was born Jan. 13, 1949, in Columbia City, the son of Gordon and Helen (Striggle) Chapman. On Aug. 12, 1977, he married Jill Peabody, who survives. He also is survived by his sons, Timothy (Cassie) Chapman and Tyler Chapman; three grandsons; and siblings, Chris (Debbie) Chapman and Dena (Ralph) Dickey.
