STAFF at Specsavers in Greenock and Port Glasgow raised £733 for local charity Youth Connections Inverclyde by completing a 10-kilometre walk. Team members from the stores set off from Newark Castle, Port Glasgow, and walked to Cardwell Bay in Gourock. The money raised will go towards Youth Connections Inverclyde’s work with young people. Claire Kincaid, store director at Specsavers Greenock, said: “Seeing our team put their best foot forward for this challenge was incredibly inspiring. “The work Youth Connections Inverclyde carries out to support young people in our community is vital, so we’re proud to take steps to support the charity this year.
