Heintz reported that preparations are underway ahead of paving work on 110th Street between Packwood and Pekin.
The county received over $3 million in grant money for the project from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
A portion of the road will remain at 45 miles per hour while the roadway continues to cure from a chip-seal done last September.
In a June meeting, the board voted to lower the speed limit from 55 to 45 miles per hour, which will last until September 15th.
Additionally, two roadways have also been lowered to a speed limit of 45 miles per hour.
