A Washington man charged with attempted murder a year ago has plead guilty to willful injury resulting in serious injury. Authorities arrested 29-year-old Maicol Godoy last June after finding a man suffering from a stab wound in the yard of a Washington residence. Godoy had been charged with attempted murder, a class B felony; willful injury – causing serious injury, a class C felony; going armed with intent, a class D felony; and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor. Court documents outline that authorities responded to a stabbing in Washington on the morning of June 5th. According to court records the plea agreement states that Godoy has plead guilty to willful injury resulting in serious injury, and the state agrees to dismiss the other three charges.
