A chance meeting has opened up a unique opportunity for southeast Iowa residents to take a journey to a historical west central Iowa town. And in return they’ll visit southeast Iowa. Interested parties can now sign up for a two-day, one-night trip to the town of Manning in west central Iowa, October 1st through the 2nd. Like the City of Kalona, the town of Manning and its residents take immense pride in their history. Roth says the roles will be reversed in November, with Manning residents taking the trip to Kalona, “That’s what’s kind of fun about it, we’re sharing our towns.
