The freshman catcher threw out eight opposing base thieves this year, eighth most in Class 1A and second in the South Iowa Cedar League. Along with her defense, Miller hit .232 with a .329OBP, .377 slug and .706OPS, totaling 16 hits, 15RBI, eight walks and two runs scored. Miller and the Eagles brought home the program’s first conference championship since 1990, finishing 13-3 in league play and 17-4 overall.
