The City of Austin is asking residents to weigh in on whether César Chávez Street should be renamed and, if so, what a new name should be. The city will host three public meetings and an online survey to gather feedback before presenting the results to the Austin City Council. Residents are being asked to provide input on two questions:Should César Chávez Street be renamed? César Chávez Street has carried several names throughout Austin’s history. Residents who cannot attend one of the meetings can submit comments through the city’s online survey.
