During the visit, Chinese President Xi Jinping and President Ndaitwah jointly decided to elevate bilateral relations to a “China-Namibia community with a shared future for the new era,” signing eight bilateral cooperative agreements alongside a joint statement. “In a sense, this seven-day visit could be called a Namibian Business Week in China… I can tell our media friends here that this visit has further stimulated ‘go-to-invest in Namibia’ enthusiasm in the Chinese business community.” Key outcomes of the visit span several critical sectors, which included: Development Assistance and Education; Agriculture and Fisheries; Healthcare & Industrial Cooperation. He reiterated China’s commitments to global governance and highlighted President Xi Jinping’s three core principles for China-Africa mining cooperation: pursuing mutual benefit, conducting friendly consultation, and breaking new ground through market-oriented approaches. Provincial delegations from Guangdong and Sichuan, featuring government officials, agricultural experts, and business leaders, are scheduled to visit Namibia in September or October to implement the agreed-upon initiatives.
