The Institute of Namibian Quantity Surveyors (INQS), in partnership with the Association of African Quantity Surveyors (AAQS) hosted the joint INQS & AAQS Conference 2026 on 24 July in Swakopmund. According to a statement by the INQS, the conference convened under the theme “QS Quo Vadis? Technology, Transformation and Tomorrow”, aimed to strengthen cross-border relationships, promote regional cooperation, and advance the quantity surveying profession across the continent. The event brought together more than 80 local and international delegates to examine the evolving role of Quantity Surveyors in a rapidly changing construction industry. President of INQS, Frikkier Jordaan, said the Conference has demonstrated the power of partnership, innovation and leadership in shaping the future of Quantity Surveying in Africa.
