Everyone has heard of the quote “If music be the food of love, play on,” and for Eileen and George Pike music has been at the heart of 60 years of marriage. She appeared in numerous TV shows on Grampian Television in the 1960s, singing and playing piano, and has continuously performed in hundreds of shows and concerts since then. She did all this while holding down a highly successful career as a teacher and headteacher. “But whatever I might have been up to in my musical career, George was always there to keep me and the family on an even keel,” Eileen said. “Nothing ever surprises me about what Eileen can get up to when it comes to her music,” said George.
