An Aberdeen man convicted of horrific sexual and domestic abuse was today jailed for more than six years. Ryan Merson returned to the dock at the High Court of Aberdeen, where he was sentenced after being found guilty of sexual attacks and domestic abuse against former partners between 2019 and 2024. In another attack, Merson attacked a second woman while she was a patient at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. He did the same to another woman between dates in 2024, accusing her of infidelity and pressuring her to take part in sexual acts. Merson’s six-year and seven-month sentence was backdated to April, when he was first locked up.
