New information has revealed the severity of child abuse charges faced by the man accused of murdering RGU graduate June Bunyan. Jonathan Renteria, 25, was previously charged by Los Angeles prosecutors with the murder of his wife June and the mutilation of her body. It has now emerged that he also faces a serious child abuse charge. The charge states that Renteria “wilfully and unlawfully” permitted the child “to suffer and to be inflicted with unjustifiable physical pain and mental suffering”. She was found dead in her Los Angeles flat on September 11 last year.
