A St. Joseph County sheriff’s deputy received a promotion on Tuesday. The sheriff’s department announced the promotion of Deputy Zach Radtke to Sergeant in the Law Enforcement Services Division. Sheriff Chad Spence said Sgt. Radtke has earned the respect of those he works with through his work ethic, dependability and commitment to serving the people of St. Joseph County. Radtke, one of the Field Training Officers for the county, has played an important role in training and mentoring new deputies while setting a strong example of professionalism and service, Spence added.
