The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, has assured residents that political campaigns ahead of the 2027 general elections will not distract the administration from delivering ongoing infrastructure projects, stressing that performance remains the government’s strongest campaign message. The minister expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded on the Arterial Road N16 project, revealing that the contractor had assured the FCT Administration that the road would be completed by January. Describing the Arterial Road N16 as a strategic infrastructure project, Wike said its completion would significantly improve connectivity and open up the Gwarimpa axis for further development. He disclosed that the company had assured the administration that the project would be completed by December. The inspection forms part of the FCT Administration’s routine monitoring of critical infrastructure projects to ensure they are delivered on schedule for the benefit of residents.
