The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has welcomed the Supreme Court's ruling declaring Ghana's political party delegate system unconstitutional, describing the decision as fair and one the party is well-prepared to implement. "As a party, the NDC, for us, we consider it to be fair. He explained that between 2014 and 2015, the NDC piloted a system that enabled a wider section of its membership to participate in selecting parliamentary candidates. The NDC has been in the forefront of this kind of system, although we later suspended it," he noted. He said the NDC reopened its membership register in February this year to enrol and digitally capture members across the country.
