A two-out triple by Royce Lewis caused the Kansas City Royals to fall to the Minnesota Twins 3-2 on Tuesday, July 28. Lewis sent the game-winner to right-center field, bouncing the fly ball off the wall and inbetween the Royals outfielders to score the tying and game-winning runs. The loss was Alex Lange’s sixth of the year and third blown save, as he allowed both runs on two hits and a walk with one strikeout in his two-thirds of an inning. The Royals had until that point shown solid defense, turning five double plays in the game to strand eight Twins runners. The Royals had been limited to four hits all game, as Taj Bradley struck out ten in his six-inning start.
