SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (WNYT) – NYRA has canceled Wednesday’s racing at Saratoga Race Course, and closed the track to the public after torrential rain soaked Saratoga Springs and the Capital Region. Saratoga Race Course got more than four inches of rain overnight and another two or more inches were expected Wednesday. The press release said Wednesday’s featured Listed $150,000 Curlin presented by Casamigos will now run Sunday, with entries to be taken Wednesday. All ticketholders will be contacted by the New York Racing Association (NYRA) Box Office about refunds or exchanges, and Aqueduct Racetrack will also be closed for simulcasting Wednesday. Live racing is slated to resume Thursday at Saratoga with a nine-race program.
