£100M investment in Bolton plant takes shapes as more than 100 jobs to be created

Astemo Plant in Horwich (Image: Astemo)Lee Owens, managing director of Astemo UK, said: "Twelve months on from the first announcement of this upgrade, start of production for our contracted OEM customer remains on target for April 2027.
Since then, 80 per cent of the site has been upgraded, and the first inverter production line has been installed and commissioned.
This is Astemo's first inverter production plant in Europe, with the Bolton site chosen due to its excellent 'track record', according to Mr Owens.
Mr Devillard said: "It is amazing to see the progress which has been made since I last visited the Bolton site.
Astemo’s Bolton plant first opened in 1997 and was expanded in 2007.
