Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces will hold aerial displays and exhibition parachute jumps on July 30 and 31, as part of the celebrations marking the 27th anniversary of King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne of his glorious ancestors, according to a statement from the general staff of the Royal Armed Forces. The King is also Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, and the aerial program forms part of the wider festivities organized each year around the anniversary. The displays will be led by the Royal Air Forces’ acclaimed aerobatics team, known as Marche Verte, the statement said. At the Bouregreg Marina in Sale, exhibition parachute jumps will run throughout the day on Thursday, July 30, beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing for the full day. The air and parachuting displays form part of the broader nationwide program of festivities organized to mark Throne Day, one of the kingdom’s most significant national occasions, which commemorates the sovereign’s accession as head of state and supreme commander of the Royal Armed Forces.
