Morocco strongly condemned drone attacks targeting oil installations in Saudi Arabia, describing them as a serious violation of the kingdom’s sovereignty and a threat to regional stability. The position was expressed by Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement in which it denounced “in the strongest terms” the attacks against what it called the “brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.” The ministry said Morocco viewed the strikes as “a flagrant violation” of Saudi sovereignty, a grave threat to its national security and an unacceptable danger to the security and stability of the Gulf region and the wider Middle East. Morocco reaffirmed its “full solidarity” with Saudi Arabia in the wake of the attacks and reiterated its support for any legitimate measures undertaken by Riyadh to defend its sovereignty, protect its security and ensure the safety of citizens and residents in the kingdom.
