Production of the compact SUV began last month at Nissan Egypt’s plant in 6th of October City following a US$45 million investment by Nissan Motor Company. With more than 55% local content, the Magnite supports Egypt’s Automotive Industrial Development Programme and Vision 2030, both of which aim to expand local manufacturing, create jobs and boost exports. Mohamed AbdElSamad, Managing Director of Nissan Africa, said the launch reflects the company’s long-term confidence in Egypt’s industrial capabilities. “The locally assembled Nissan Magnite represents an important milestone in our growth journey and demonstrates our continued investment in the Egyptian market,” he said. “Our expanded production capacity enables us to meet growing demand while strengthening Egypt’s position as a strategic manufacturing and export hub.”
