BHOPAL: Farmers protesting over the procurement of the moong crop reportedly damaged several buses in Madhya Pradesh’s Narmadapuram district on Wednesday, according to media reports. According to media reports, the protest is part of an ongoing farmers’ movement led by the Samyukt Kisan Morcha. The agitation began in Narmadapuram and later spread to Bhopal, where thousands of farmers have gathered over the past two days. The demonstrations have disrupted traffic, prompted heavy police deployment and led to heightened security in parts of Bhopal and nearby areas, according to media reports. Farmer leaders have said the protest will continue until the state government announces 100% procurement of the moong crop at MSP and addresses their other demands.
