Off the back of one of the most controversial World Cups ever, FIFA has embroiled itself into yet another scandal as Gianni Infantino is trying to sell the World Cup. Infantino would act as a Commissioner of this new body when his final term as FIFA president ends in 2031. British PM Andy Burnham stated that: ‘The World Cup is not a product. ‘The close relationship between the FIFA President and the US President has reached a financial dimension that is deeply damaging football. UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin boycotted the World Cup final earlier this month as the tension between FIFA and its most important confederation UEFA rise to a boiling point.
