National Weather Service Confirms Tornado in Talbot County; Damage Assessments Underway

One of the storms that progressed through Talbot CountyMaryland produced two distinct tornadoes in Trappe, Maryland. Multiple witnesses reported the tornado that affected the BacktownRoad fully dissipated before the storm crossed over Highway 50. The NWS would like to thank Talbot County Emergency Managementand area residents for their assistance in this survey. The last damage noted was a distinctconvergent damage path through part of a corn field on the northside of Backtown Road. The tornado continued roughly eastward withconvergent damage noted in a corn field.
