The Government stated that it is continuously engaging with financial sector regulators and other stakeholders. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has also released the India AI Governance Guidelines for AI across sectors. To govern the use of AI, the Government has been constantly engaging with the financial sector regulators and other concerned stakeholders. Further, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has also released the ‘India AI Governance Guidelines’ to guide the overall approach and application of AI across sectors. In order to address the risks arising out of AI deployment, Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) issued an advisory on 26.04.2026 on “Defending Against Frontier AI Driven Cyber Risks”.
